BOURGOGNE CHARDONNAY 2007
Terroir
This vintage is issued from a blending of the only grape Chardonnay from different Burgundian origins. It results, for 50 % of the Côte de Beaune, with vineyards located on the Villages of Meursault, Puligny and Chassagne. The second part arises from Maconnais (45 %) and a small part results from the Côte de Nuits (5 %).
Soils are all argilo-limestones with a dominant of marl limestone for the Maconnais and the Côte de Nuits and a rather clayey marl for the Côte de Beaune. The vineyards are generally located at the bottom of hillsides with moderated slopes. Vineyards are on average 40 years old, in other words in full strength of the age!

Our oenologist's comments
Golden pale color with gold-coloured reflections, brilliant and very crystal clear. The nose expresses himself on notes of white peach and vanilla. It opens then on fruity one, intense, with a light mineral point. The attack is tonic and greedy, testifying of a beautiful balance between the acidity and the grapes maturity. The flavours are rich in fruits (apricot, lemon) and on a light touch of verveine.
Finale restores flavours of citrus fruits and we also feel the beautiful tonic effect of the vintage in Chardonnay with a pleasant texture.
Thi wine is ready to drink and which will appreciate young. Do not hesitate to open this bottle in 2 years.
Sommelier's advice
It will sweep down very well with frog's legs, browned scallops, a Carpaccio of salmon in the dill and why not into a well refined Camembert cheese and in the raw milk naturally!
