Our oenologist's comments
Ruby color with garnets reflections with great intensity which we can consider as rather deep for the vintage. The aromatic expresses notes of very ripe fruits, strawberry of wood, blackberry and flint.
The oaky is present but in well harmony, with notes of toast and light tobacco. In mouth, faithful to its reputation, this Corton expresses a lot of delicacy, with velvet and ripe tannins. This wine has been aged fifteen months in French oak barrel, among which 50 % of new barrel. Finale highlights floral flavours (peony, iris) and vanilla; they are supported by a lot of fruit. Tannins are fleshy and promising for a ageing till 2013 +
Sommelier's advice
will get married well to games, pheasants, wild boars and on chocolate desserts, as for example a cocoa macaroon and its sauce three chocolates
