Our oenologist's comments
The colour is attractive with green gold nuances and silver reflections.
The nose is intense, powerful on first impressions of vanilla and toasted bread. The minerality, really characteristic of this magic soil, stands out after short moment in the glass; it is mixed with a lot of fruits: yellow peach, flesh of fresh apricot, even candy. Indeed, the nose lets augur a sweet flavour, almost sweetened then !
In mouth, the attack is on the velvet, the unctuousness but without heaviness and with a lot of tonic effect: citrus fruits, zest... The wealth in fruit confirms and testifies of the beautiful maturity of grapes. The oaky taste is well mixed, without excess, with notes of gingerbread which confer a beautiful balance at the end of mouth. Finale is very persistent; very beautiful wine.
Sommelier's advice
This wine can be kept at least until 2015 and +. It could accompany, among others, a foie gras on sandwich of gingerbread and his compote of figs, a bisque of lobster, oysters or even a whole seafood platter.
