Our oenologist's comments

This wine has a deep purple and ruby color with a nice brilliance. The nose is intense and starts to express a touch of strawberry, then a perfume of vanilla and black-current. After a while, it shows a sweet touch of grilled nut and violet flower. On palate, the attack is powerful, with quite a lot of tannins which are straight, but ripe. After few seconds, the tannins are well mixed with the acidity and the flavors of red fruits. The oaky touch appears at the end of taste and reminds the 14 months' ageing into French oak barrels. The wine finishes on an elegant texture with both roundness and freshness. It's a wine to wait for few years before to be optimal to drink. We suggest you to wait 2011-2012.

Sommelier's advice

Roasted meats or in juice, a salad of warm goat and of course with veined cheeses.
